Our United States Lapbook

Munchkin wants to do a study of the states while we are doing the study of the Presidents. The plan is to study one state and one President per week. We discussed what she wanted to learn about the different states and made this lapbook. All the templates have been added to homeschool share.

We couldn't find an image that we liked for the front cover, so we combined several images (in Printmaster) to create this cover.

We will be learning about each state individually. Each state booklet will contain information about the state capital, state bird, and state flower. I designed a state trivia that covers the state nicknames. We will be covering the seven regions of the U.S. There is a booklet for interesting facts that she comes across during her studies, and a booklet for "her state".

In the center of the lapbook, we put the song "Fifty Nifty United States" to help Munchkin remember all fifty states.
